you could have had some loose connections, or RAM couldn't have been seated fully/knocked loose somewhere along the line
can you take out your ram, and try sticks that you know work?
Have you tried clearing CMOS? DO this by shorting clear CMOS jumpers, or disconnecting power and taking out battery then letting sit for a minute...
