just get all the files you want, burn 'em to cd's! You should try doing a repair though, that's what I do when stuff F----'s up.
you could always reinstall windows. Last resort, or if you havent done one in about a year, just backup all your important data, and reinstall it.
I've got a copy of the driver on a seperate partition on my hdd with other drivers, just incase. It took me about an hour to find the driver....
