6600gt driver install issue

I have the BFG GeForce 6600GT OC PCI-e card

Originally eveytime I tried installing the drivers my computer would reboot. So I tried setting the BIOS to fail-safe settings(it was on optimized). Then I tried installing the drivers and they installed but when the computer rebooted the screen would just be black instead of showing me Windows.

Here are some specs:

Windows XP
Abit KN9 Ultra motherboard
AMD 64 X2 5200
OCZ2SOE8002GK 2GB OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 RAM

p.s. when isntalling the drivers I get the windows logo testing window but it mentions in the manual to just continue installing

have you formatted the pc before installing that much drivers on :smiley:

try formatting once and install optimised drivers
