Does anyone know if you can use the Abit EQ software which monitors fan speed and several temps like cpu and system temp on any system? :o (not just an Abit board)
I know you can look at this data in the bios but it would be handy if I could look at it anytime.
It might, but that depends on if it’s using a specialized Abit-only chip (like the uGuru chip), or if it’s getting these readings with a universal sensor. My guess is probably not, and in that case, look at Motherboard Monitor. It’s free and does what you’re asking.
Yea unless it takes readings from a universal sensor, then it may work on other systems. But things like the CoreCenter software for MSI boards with CoreCell only work on CoreCell boards etc.
