hello my boss has just bought AMD sepron 2.8ghz (canny spell)
err, am i right in thinking the sepron is the equilivent as celeron (sepron 2.8 equal to celeron 2.8)
shop guy said its the same as a P4 3.00ghz im not convinced
Do they do a 2.8ghz sempron? I had it in my head that the sempron 3600 was only 2ghz.
I might be wrong, I dont really know much about AMD processors.
Heres a couple of sandra benchmarks which say it stands up pretty good.

Im sure we’ve got a sempron 3000 in the pc I never use, ill have to try some bencmarks on it myself.

so it seems the sepron 2800+ is one of the lowest cpus u can buy - close to p4 2.6ghz. well it was less than £40
