I have two 7900gt’s that require 28A. I’ve looked EVERYWHERE and i cannot find a psu with multiple 12V rails that can give this many amperes. Is it the amps PER rail that are important or the combined total of amps of all rails? Also, how do i know whether or not a psu allows you to combine rails? I hear this is possible.
I know that the Enermax and OCZ units I listed have been used with a lot of people sporting high-end setups.
Another option (and is $250-300) is the PC Power & Cooling 510 SLI. I couldn’t find the 510-SLI at Newegg, but I’m sure if you go to their website, you can find it. The 850 an 1K (1000W) are available, but you’re looking at over $400 for either one. However, when you’re the best, you can charge a premium. Still the others I listed will do the job, especially the Enermax and OCZ units.
I like Fortron, but the FX700-GLN is pretty new to the market. The Enermax and OCZ units have been out for awhile, but other than that, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
