I have Laptop Compaq Preasario 1500.
Don’t know why, but my display driver went out of order. While normally working on the laptop it stops working. If I run a video, it just stops everything and I have to reboot first n save mode, than in the normal one.
I was searching for the driver, but could not found one. On ATI website I found ATI Catalyst drivers but I do not know whether it fits or not.
Please advice which driver can I use or helpo somehow

I did this, but no change …
When windows starts to reboot it fails, restarts and send me to tha save mode… 
Am I doing something wrong?

Sometimes windows reboots ok, but in about 10 minutes driver stops, but everything else works
Why?
Well in that case it could be overheating, faulty hardware or windows corruption!
Also wouldnt be a bad idea to reinstall DirectX and do a Virus and Spyware scan!
I reinstalled the previous version of the ATI driver, and it works now, but when I turn the video on, for example a film via winamp, comp dies …

Yes, thats sounds fine.
If all else fails and you do reinstall and the problem still occurs then
it sounds like a hardware problem!
If it is a hardware problem, why does it work at all?
Computer hardware is very stubborn, sometimes it’ll work and sometimes it wont!

I would not doubt it at all if your comp is overheating!

In fact If I turn on video for example in a small window (minimum) it works, But if I make it full screen, driver stops functioning
Well,
First I removed all driver, control panel …
Then I installed the driver …
It worked whole 8 hours … I even whatched movied on full screen … That was ok …
But this morning I brought laptop to the office … and **** .. the same problem …
driver problem again …
because of transportation?
Well id say now that windows really hates your ATI drivers, in this case i would suggest a fresh install of windows if this is pratical!
I also recommend a registry, spyware and virus scan if you havent already!
Edit: BTW what dvd player are you using? and have you checked their website for any possible bug fixes/patches?

Well I am using the DVD player which came with the laptop …
But I’ll check theirs website …
If the problem persists I’ll just reinstall windows …
