Hi, I’m having trouble with my laptop - when I switch it on, all that happens is that thee screen turns white, there’s no noise from the fan, and the battery won’t charge either. Any ideas what it could be?
Perhaps the battery is dead.
Plug it in to the mains, and see if it will run from there.
No, I’ve tried plugging it in via the mains and still there’s nothing. Thanks for replying though
has the screen been damaged in anyway? dropped by accident?
You could try a reinstall of Winoows, but if you can’t see the screen, that’ll be damn near impossible..
try removing the battery and booting, I don’t know if laptops will power up from the mains without a battery though.
