Installing Folding

Right, i’ve completely sorted my AMD64, and is now running Windows 2K Pro, I’ve also started on overclocking again, so no more stocks, i’ve managed to overclock to 2.6Ghz so far stable.

Problem i am having is that to run 2.6Ghz stable at CAS2.5 i am having to run 8-6-6 which is terrible as far as timings go.. (running 1:1 divider)

Multiplier: x10
FSB: 260Mhz
LDT: x4 (1040Mhz Hypertransport)
Vcore: 1.55V
Vdim: 2.65V

Does anyone know which roughly would be faster..

Running either:
1:1 Divider 260Mhz FSB x10 Multi = 2.6Ghz @ CAS 2.5 1T 8 - 6 - 6
or running
3:2 Divider (DDR333) 260Mhz FSB x10 = 2.6Ghz (260Mhz:217Mhz) @ CAS 3.0 1T 3 - 4 - 4

Have yet to properly much around with the timings as of yet.

Also on a second subject, I’d like to install F@H so it only use’s the processing power i am not utilising, i presume i put this onto “low” @ 100%? with optimised code off?

You don’t need to change any setting, f@h is already on lowest priority. Anyway why disabled optimised code?

Faster WU’s - and using optimised code doesn’t give you more points.

If using optimised code gives you faster WUs then why would you want to disable it?

I was thinking that

No when its disabled it gives u faster WU’s, as optimised code takes longer to process, and you will get more points for completing faster.. so you want to disable it.

or so ive been told on the F@H forums.

oooooo well i didnt know that
