Heres the deal…I have a scanner and I am trying to scan in some pics but once the pics are scanned in the comp and I compare them to the actual pic it is a lot darker. I just noticed this with in the last month or so…well maybe longer but been to busy to take care of it. I have the GeForce2 MX/MX400. The bios version is 3.11.0014, driver date 5/3/2002, driver version 2.9.4.2. My question is could this be what is causing my pics to come out so dark? If so does someone know a place where I could go to download this… i went to ndvida but i have no clue where to start…if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.
This is probably much more to do with your scanner. Unless theres some controls on your scanner which you can adjust scan settings, I see the only way to make your pictures lighter is to use image editing software to increase the brightness/contrast. It could also be that your monitor settings for the brightness/contrast are set too low.
I have tried to adjust the setting on the monitor but this seems not to change anything. I have the brightness and contrast sit the the highest option…so thats why I am kinds confused…do you have to download updates for your monitor??
