right.. my system is a:
1.8ghz AMD XP 2200+
512mb (single dim of Ebuyer pc2700 @ 133fsb)
9600XT 128mb Sapphire
DirectX 9.0b
Latest Catalyst Drivers (4.5’s)
300W PSU Encer

right.. just benched my system on 3DMark 2001 se and my score is: 9305

i need new ram and a power supply yes?

i was thinking:

2 sticks of Corsair pc3200 512mb ? & a 500W+ PSU? would that speed my system up?

also.. my FSB is running at 133mhz (ie: DDR = 266mhz)

if i get that Corsair ram what will me FSB run at then? or the equivelant to? as its dual channel?

The FSB will still be 266MHz, unless you’re overclocking it. The extra RAM will really help when it comes to stuff like FarCry which love RAM. I benched my system once, with the XP2000+, and I think it was a little over 10000 in 3dMark 2k1.

I think your score should be a little higher. However, your current mobo might be doing more harm than good since it’s an ECS.

yeh, well its shit, so im getting a new one gigabyte mobo, 1gb of corsair pc3200 and a 350W Antec case and PSU :smiley:
