What’s the best PC game controller?
I’m going to be using for sports games, specifically Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007.
your best bet is to take a controller for a games console and get an adapter to turn it into a usb gamepad 
I’d say get an Xbox 360 wired controller, plug it directly into your PC USB slot, don’t even need an adaptor. 
yeah, or if you some XBOX1 controllers you can just just off the plugs and solder on some usb connectors 
you can hook every game console controller that i have come across up to a computer so take your pic
If you like the PS1/PS2-style controller and don’t want to mess with an adapter, try picking up the Logitech Precision 2 USB controller. You might look around at stores like Wal-Mart and such, because the Newegg price with shipping ends up being more than I paid for mine.
