Processor not detected correctly

Hi guys,

I have a fairly new AMD Athlon XP Barton core 3200+ processor running with an ASUS A7N8X-X Motherboard.

During bootup i have noticed that the computer recognises the processor as a 1.09 GHZ processor when it should detect it as XP 3200+ ?

Anybody know what could be the cause of this?

Might double check your jumpers (if applicable–Asus still tends to use a number of jumpers on their board) for your Front Side Bus (FSB—also might be System Bus), and make sure it’s set for 166MHz. From their on, you may have to go into BIOS and manually adjust it to 200MHz.
