Quick Question On RAM

I got some new RAM and my motherboard has 4 slots and i have ram in my 1st 2 but i couldnt get the 3rd stick in the 3rd slot so i skipped it and put it in the 4th

just wondering if that matters with anything cause my computer still says i have 3gigs now

If you use 4 GB or an higher amount of RAM, you’ll need a 64-bit version of your OS, like Vista x64 or XP x64.
