Reducing Bit Size of the Image

[COLOR=“Teal”]What are the ways I can reduce the bit size(not the resolution) of an image which can be used in web pages.

Open that file with Paint, save it as jpg, thats the way I do always, but if u use Gimp tools that provides u better way to reduce the size.. Reducing size also reduce the quality of the pic so dont expect ur pic to look like real when u reduce the price..

Loading of an image depends on the connection speed and file size..
