My focus is on workstations suitable for intensive activities such as video production, 3D visualization, software development, computer-aided design (CAD), running virtual machines, handling AI computations, and other rigorous professional use cases.
Could you suggest some recommended workstation configurations, whether self-assembled or commercially available? I would also welcome guidance on optimal choices for processors, graphics cards, memory amounts, data storage arrangements, cooling methods, and motherboards, particularly emphasizing longevity and sustained performance.
Have you found custom-put-together systems to perform better, or do you prefer established manufacturers like Dell, HP, Lenovo, or similar? Furthermore, are there any specific workstation parts or manufacturers you feel are excessively priced or not justify their cost?
