the last post on the page says it all, i have no idea what he’s talking about, i don’t think he does ether. people ruins things for those who don’t know… oh yeah and we are smoking the crap out of their team, go team HWF
I got Selfish 
i set up my own team to see how much muscle i could accumulate between all the pc’s i fix up, didnt get very far though…
I guess i should support the home team 
expect the following computers within 2 weeks:
AMD64 X2 AM2 4200+ -runs 24/7
AMD64 3200+ -family use
AMD 2200+ -family use
P3 0.75 Ghz -laptop, used at college etc
Celeron 2.6 Ghz -laptop, runs like :swear:, doubt it will be any use. XP + firewall + anti virus is a resource hog (and i’m not allowed to touch it with kubuntu :P)
and 2 computers of unknown specs at some point (but i know there fairly recent)

I Wonder if my college would consider running f@h… my high school didn’t think the benefits of a hundred or so powerful machines doing cruelty free research outweighed the possible work of doing it.
Might have a chance with the college, tho i doubt i can get them to run under my username lol
Just be careful about getting permission. A few years ago, someone on Anandtech’s SETI team (if I remember the team right) got in a load of legal trouble when he ran the program on a bunch of his company’s boxes…without permission. Fold, sure, just don’t get yourself in hot water.

I think they might let me set up a small cluster (one room of pc’s) on a separate network (without net access, or access to anything outside the room!) to play around with for a short while if i ask nicely…
Could be quite interesting, was thinking about using clusterknoppix but it hasnt been updated in awhile

How can i be sure that F@H is running on both core’s of my AMD X2?
well, there no for sure way, but a good measure is if there %100 cpu usage

there are 4 more possible machines coming, 2 are friends machines which i maintain & 2 are machines which i have been asked if i can build.

Im putting F@H on all the machines i own, and friends and famaily machines with permission. With the doantion of spare processing on friends machines i think i can get somewhere between 15-20GHz. 
I have permission from the owners to be running F@H under my username ( Impotence[z365] ) on all of the machines contibuting to the hwf team.
oh gotcha, for a sec, i thought you were just putting it on their computers without their knowledge. Yeah, that should be really cool. Guess we’ll see ya climbin the stats board
