tattoo, which one

i’ve decided to get a tattoo, i’ve been looking @ GNU logo

any other ideas ?

HWF logo

nice idea, but, i think it would be better to use all black as tattoos fade over time & after a while it would dark blue as tats do

this pic is kinda what i was thinking, but ignore the background as it only seems to work as bmp i tried png because it supports transparency but it didn’t work

anymore ideas ?

Hehe as much as I dislike tattoos, the GNU logo is a pretty cool idea, in a nerdy sort of way

I wouldn’t fancy having to explain to people what it was though

Stupid idea: shave the hair off your head (if you’re not already bald), and have the Intel Inside logo tattoo!! lol

i thought so & thank you for your input as a non tattoo liker

it wouldn’t need explaining to some people worldwide

no, a stupid idea would be the have “I Love M$” tattooed on my forehead

BTW: i’m not bald, i actually have short sometimes spikey light brown hair[ot]when its clean, bet you cant guess i’m single[/ot]

You could always go one step further by getting Richard Stallman’s face tatooed on your back

Oh wow, that’s creepy!

If it was me, and I was planning on getting something like the GNU tattooed on my body, I would work it in to a larger piece of art. If you just get the GNU logo inked on all by itself, you’ll look like a scratch pad with a logo stamped on your body.

Or if you like Apple, you could get the face of Steve Jobs on your back :chk:

well he’s not exactly the most attractive man on the planet, for those who don’t know here’s his wiki page

:agree:

as nice as that would be, i am restricted by funds, so, the smaller the better

i prefer linux because it’s a free OS, & generally running an apple is expensive especially if you have problem

Agreed. Plus, who wants a tattoo of a WASP with a black turtleneck on their back? I’d just as soon get “Virgin 4 Life” tattooed across mine :chk:

ok, i’ve just stopped laughing enough to type a reply[ot]but, i’ve never actually used a MAC, but, i remember fixing one once, something about it not ejecting a floppy when a button on the KB was pressed, that was about 12 - 15 years ago[/ot]do all nerds have a brutal sense of humour ?

because, i’ve found i’m erm erm erm Unique with my sense of humour, but, obviously there are exceptions, but, i usually always start it

Hold the phone!
If you are getting a free OS tattoo, surely you should tattoo yourself, while sitting in front of your PC, getting advices from mailing lists or a WIKI… :chk:

How about

tattooing myself would not be a good idea, i correct many typos before i submit the post, & tattooists are not like hairdressers & shopping, you can’t just get one delivered

not bad, but the tat would fade over time, that’s why i want a black only tat, nice pic though

All tattoos fade over time; it’s not as if you can’t get them retouched when they do.

P.S. - That Debian beer label is sweet.

Hahahahahaha

Better yet: imitate Mount Rushmore by having some of the big guys in computing as the tat.

Stallman, Jobs, Gates, Torvalds (Mr. ‘No, I didn’t name this OS after myself’)

why you want to get a tatto, i can’t understand

So what have you decided to go for? Not the hippie Richard Stallman!

well i have 1, but i want another

no, probably the GNU logo, because it will be recognized worldwide only by the people of *nix, i know windoze users can compile source code to win32 or 64 but i bet very few actually do, but, i’m in no rush

i’m thinking about either reworking my original tat or maybe having the new 1 on the top of my left arm or maybe on the back of my shoulder, not sure which shoulder

wher have you been mega[ot]donkey gives mega a big (non gay) hug[/ot]
