Im thinking of changing my ISP, pipex still charge me £25 for something they charge everyone else £15 for and im sick of unanswered emails and long waits on the phone.
After you hand over your MAC number what sort of downtime should I expect? This internet connection is mostly used for business and 1 or 2 days offline will be a big issue. I plan on getting some sort of dial-up connection going to fill the gap but how long might I need to use dial-up?

I recently went over to Sky from Demon.
Both companies were as helpful as each other. :mad:
Bottom line, there was no down time but someone (probably BT wholesale) ballsed-up my telephone line in the process and left me without a line for three days! 
After that I was all-of-a-sudden with Sky, without being able to use their service with my current equipment. They would not go the extra mile to help me use their service. So, I did not have internet access for nearly two weeks! Dial-up? I prefer to have red-hot pokers shoved :swear: :swear: :swear:

So, activation date was not activation date, migration date was not migration date and as for value for money, this only holds for a very short time these days.
