Upgrading Components

Hello.
Before reading any further down just know that i have not much knowledge about this. And im probobly make some experienced pc builders cringe.

ok so i was thinking of upgrading some of the components of my computer. I would love it if someone could help me with finding components that fit and is compatible. here is some specs:

Intel Core i5 6400 @ 2.70GHz
8 gb DDR RAM
1 tb HDD Drive
AMD Radeon R7 360 graphics card
Micro-Star International Co. Ltd. MS-B090 Motherboard

Im looking to upgrade my graphics card and RAM to something that can handle a little bit “tougher” games. Having an additional ssd drive would also be great.

PSU? Monitor?

Graphic card like RX 470 would be OK. For SSD, around 240GB MLC drive (plenty of options, just avoid Samsung) would be OK.

The power supply is only 350 W. As for the monitor, i have a AOC G2460PF 144hz monitor with freesync.

But im guessing a RX 470 would need alot more power right?

350W is low for any modern GPU, so something better is needed.

RX470 is not much for 144 Hz but luckily Freesync saves a lot.

Why dont you get more RAM instead of an SSD. And if you are going for SSD go for 128GB SLC instead of 256 MLC you will feel the difference.
Get a 750W PSU - minimum for a gaming PC
and for GPU, why don;t you try GTX 750? better on tests and low priced.

Wouldn’t necessarily need a 750W. A quality 550-600W would be plenty, and likely overkill for his system. 750W? Unless it was a good sale or he’s thinking of running SLI/Crossfire, over the top, and certainly not a minimum requirement.
