a unusual problem with half life 2

ever since i started overclocking my graphics card to work the best with grand theft auto san andreas, i have noticed that after about 10 minutes of playing half life 2 it freezes and will not work anymore, and then the computer shuts down.

what could be causing this, every other game works fine, so why not half life 2.

with the latest omega drivers, is there anyway to set the drivers settings back to default, becouse the only way i can think if is restoring the computer back to factory settings.
 
HL2 is probably working the beast harder than anything else, may be a heat prob. Tap down the resolusion and settings that aren't that benificial like AA x2, trilinear filtering etc.
 
is there a way to save all the changes i have made to the latest omega drivers like i want to resotre the omega driver settings to defualts, but i want to save my settings config like how i have it now.
