Adobe photoshop help

    I got adobe photoshop cs but have never used it for making images transparent. Just wondering can I do this and if so HOW?

    You can adjust the Opacity Levels of the image on the layers pallette.

    What are you trying to do?

    Genrally just fade a whole image so I cant put text over the image on the background. I usuall use fotodraw but my disc isn't working :mad:

    In that case, play with the opacity and fill levels. Also, duplicate the image, and then set the blending mode to lighten, and reduce the opacity to about 50. This keeps the image visible, yet at the same time transparent.

    Also - you can add a layer mask (button on the layers palette, and use a gradient to make the image fade out perfectly.
