Allocate Harddrive space

I recently installed a new Western Digital 80Gb hardrive onto my PC. I'm using Windows XP as an operating system. Upon installation, I was only allowed approximatley 33Gb of new harddrive space. How can I open up new folers to allocate the remaing harddrive space???

go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management

you should see some Unallocated Space, right click on it and choose to Format it.
