Ask before I purchase?

    yup i put in the same mobo and same cpu ,Ati radeon 9550 1 gig pc 3200 ram.Antec Phantom 350 PSU . A friend is buying it for 450 bucks :)

    all parts of ebay... the computer goes with no guaranty lol but i can fix it if it breaks

    thats i thought but i didnt..50 bucks is my profit.. i had to buy wires,floppy,cd rom brand new,heatsink and fan

    The problem is that that card is AGP, and if you ever decide to upgrade then you'll have to get a new video card aswell since AGP will be completely phased out and PCI-E will be fully mainstream.

    I suggest you get a cheap Radeon 9x00 card like the 9700/9800 and use that as they will still play most games with moderate settings. Then that way if you ever decide to upgrade, you won't have to replace a $499 card.

    That is good advice thank you. right now i have a ati radeon 9700. sometimes when i play half life 2 deathmatch i see purple and pink checkered maps??

    :eek:, i got same thing as you with my x800xt pe, i wonderd what it was, it was on half life 2 single player.

    wierd purple things making checkers board effect.

    i would say the 6800 gt ok but it still may be overkill or be to much strain its up to ya i would go for it but i dont wanna give any bad advice
