asus Geforce4 Ti 4200 tv problem

I bought the system with my friend, and remembered he had the tv-out running at his house but I'm trying it now with the same kind of patch (svid > rca) but it's not displaying anything on the tv.. I have downloaded the latest nvidia drivers and set them up so my tv would be display 2 in ntsc as a clone... Nothing seems to work so far.. any help? thanks in advance!
 
have you set the correct resolution for the TV, I think its ment to be 640x480?
 
I looked on nvidia site for different drivers. Im not sure which software it is but i think your drivers are fine. I think all you need to do is download some software form their site. It is right below the drivers option on their site.
 
How would I go about changing the resolution below 800x600? (the lowest i can get through the nvidia control panel and/or windows display properties) thanks again!
 
Oh the display properties, tab click settings then click advanced. Then click the tab adapter and click the list all modes button at the bottom. You'll have a list of resolutions with refresh rates there.
 
hmm, still didn't do the trick.. and in between all this help I have been experimenting with many settings, and tv's etc... maybe it's a faulty svideo>rca patch cord itself.. :confused: thanks for the help in the meantime and if you have any other suggestions let me know.. thanks!
