Hi, I am 99% sure what you are doing wrong, first find out the exact make and model for your motherboard. Secondly, find the SATA / RAID Drivers on the manufacturer's website (they often need putting to a floppy and you have to use F6 on Windows XP Installation screen to install them from floppy drive). Finally, if you have done this correctly, your OS's installations should pickup your drives A-OK

Hope this helps :);):P

If your hard drive controller on the motherboard is set to RAID mode, it's common for the OS install to not detect the hard drives. You'll need to check in BIOS and refer to your motherboard manual for this, but the controller should be set in IDE/ATA (non-RAID) mode if you're not using a RAID array in order for the OS to see the drive as a stand alone unit.
