Everyone has a car that as a child they just have to have when they are old enough to drive. In reality it often doesn't happen. What car/cars do people remember wanting to own when they were younger? For me i always wanted to have a VW sirocco Untitled Document but on reaching driving age i found that they had a high insurance group and opted for a Vauxhall Nova Image:Opel corsa a v sst1.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I forgot about wikipedia, mine were blue but the same model
I always wanted a 4 wheel drive, tuned Peugeot 205. My step mums family used to race them and I loved going to garage to see the cars. I just want a mint condition original car, none of this boy racer crap, with all the extras Skip Brown Cars can do, including a fat turbo charged engine http://gti.peugeot205.pl/fotki/prototypy/205_maquette_2.jpg Volkswagon Corrado VR6 Storm. My dad had the 1.8 16v version which was great but I always wished it was the Storm model. Going to his house on the weekend was great, he was dead irresponsible all the way, now I cant go fast enough! oh man, like ten of em. but seriously, 2BlueSC.com :: image gallery Fiero GT, would be sweet to do a V8 swap like a couple in that gallery s10extremist.org An S-10 blazer, something like that, almost had one once Les plus beaux cabriolets Lotus Elise, nuff said Mercedes Benz 190E 2.3 Racing Tuner aahh man a 190e, i want one so bad, to bad living in the states makes it hard to get a hold of parts and what not
I always wanted my grandad's Jaguar XJS, he said I could have it when I'm 21 (but has since got rid of it for an XK8 ) Jaguar XJS My brother used to be crazy about Robin Reliants (the one Mr. Bean always crashes into), this was at the age of about 2 or 3 Robin Reliant
Yeah, those R5 GT Turbos are surprisingly quick. I know someone who used to have a Fiat Uno Turbo and that went quick too. Too quick really for those skinny little tyres. I think Renault did a beefed up version of the GT Turbo named just the Renault 5 Turbo. I believe its different kettle of fish altogether compared to the GT Turbo. According to Wiki the R5 GT Turbo weighed 850kg and had 115hp but the R5 Turbo had 180hp but could be tuned up to 350hp!
still, i cant imagine the 205 being in particular good condition (engine wise) after sitting arounf 4 ages! it must be rusty as hell! i have a 306 currently and couldnt drive it for a year due to a slight infraction with the law, when i got it back i could tell the rust had got to it, even though i would start her up once a week. i blame the damp english countryside! yeah zeus, ur right those R5' dont feel right with the standard skinny wheels.. especially when the turbo kicks in!:chk: also, whilst its a dream car for many (205 t16), who in their right mind would want to pay that much for a car? i mean, if i had won the lottery then maybe , but for your average guy, you can buy a bloody decent sports car with 36 grand
Yeah, our weather is grim for the rust. Cars like that are usually kept in doors though really. Even a drafty garage can keep cars in top condition. Theres a bloke down the road with an old old Volvo and its mint! Even the paint, though it is Tangerine Orange. Its driving on salted roads which ruins stuff. My bike was in mint condition until last year when I had to ride it in the winter. I just want to get rid of it now. Maybe I should just keep it as a winter bike. Ive gotta agree on the price thing. I wouldnt really want to spend more than a few thousand on a car. In reality id be happy with a 2cv, if its got a heater it good enough! Dumb and Dumber got it down to a tee on the moped they had. Thats me every day going to work only I get more snot in the summer from hayfever! I tried spitting with my helmet on once... never again!
