Well, after my last thread about BB cutting off, I thought I had everything sorted when a computer guy called and fixed my pc with a Speedtouch 330 modem and it worked a treat. Previously had a TalkTalk SmartAX.
A week or two after this TalkTalk updated the cables in our area and it seems we are back to square one because it keeps cutting off again and I have to 're-dial' twenty, thirty or more times to get reconnected. Message just keeps coming up 'no dial tone' which is extremely frustrating.:doh:
I have just heard via friend, who has the same problem, that the technical team at TalkTalk told her it's because the Speedtouch modem is not capable of working with the upgraded cable! I have also learned that it's only Speedtouch where you need to 'dial-up' to get on Broadband.
I don't know too much about modems so has anybody got suggestions as to which I should now use.
