Built in currency convertor in add post?

i know some of you will think this is stupid, but why not have a corrency convertor in posts, they do come in usefull sometimes when replying to people.

but is it possible to have a currecny convertor ?
 
It'd be good to have a currency convertor, but i think it'd be too hard to maintain because of the exchange rates always changing.....but good idea though :cool:
 
hmm, is there a way to make one so it gets information from a source so that the exchange rate auto changes?
 
Hm, it is a good idea, but pelvis nailed the only reason why it would be hard to sustain. I'm sure sites like http://www.xe.com/ucc/ offer free services for your site, which would mean it would automatically update, but it may be hard to integrate into the posts.

Perhaps as a pop up window?

Sounds ideal for the stated purpose, Free (with ads) but can all be customised with HTML to get the HWF House style.
 
Nice idea Will and sweet find Waffles, looks like it would work when Sniper, B, and AT find the time.
 
if this all goes ahead, it will be the first thing i have thought of that will be used in the forum :D
 
Yeah that would be useful, often times I see posts that are in UK currency, and I have no idea how much that would be in Canadian if I don't google currency converters.
