I would like a good video card for high end games but not too expensive. I dont know what specs to give...
Intel 4 2.8 gig processor
XP
2 gig ram
Any Recommendations?
Quicknote
for PCi-E 7900GTX
for AGP 7800 no less
I might be wrong but your system MAY have an AGP slot for your gpu cards (if not then scroll down to PCI-E) - (check your manual, or motherboard, AGP slots have a brown slot) i wouldnt recommend AGP for the
high end games as the slot has a maximum bandwidth of so many mb/sec (you'll need a faster port to support latest games). also a lot of stores no longer sell AGP cards, ebay will tho. Try looking for the AGP 7800 cards they seemed to hit the celing as far as AGP goes, but again, its not recommended (and may not even run) most newer games. if you have an AGP port i'd recommend buying a new motherboard with PCI-E (all new boards now have these on)
click here to see GPU benchmarks (then click charts)

if you have a PCI-E x16 port (currently the fastest port) then the sky is the limit, it all depends on your budget. High end games recommend anything above
7900GTX, they are very cheap now-a-days and will play most new games well
click the top link and then CHARTS, choose the games you have and it will tell you the best cards for that game. buy here if in UK:
Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
edit: if you look at the charts to choose your new card remember that the fps will be a lot lower than they say as your cpu will act as a bottlekneck and slow games down compared to their testing systems
