this is a different thing than the first 5.6 thing i posted.

This release for all Radeon family products updates the ATI Display Driver to version 8.14. The unified driver has been further enhanced to provide the highest level of power, performance, and reliability. The driver supports 24 languages.

The release introduces full hardware acceleration of Microsoft Windows Media Video (WMV) files when using DirectX 9 shaders. Hardware acceleration significantly reduces dropped frames and can reduce CPU usage up to 50%. As with most Catalyst releases, performance has increased in various situations. With 3DMark05, a performance gain of up to 5% is noticed as a result of generic driver Z-optimizations. This package also includes ATI Multimedia Center 9.08, HydraVision 3.25.0006, HydraVision 3.25.9006 Basic Edition, WDM Driver Install Bundle, Remote Wonder 3.0.2, and the Southbridge/IXP driver.

I have Laptop Compaq Preasario 1500.

Is this the driver which can be used with ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500?

I was searching for the driver, but could not found one. On ATI website I found ATI Catalyst drivers but I do not know whether it fits or not.
 
Hi mate you could go to www.driverguide.com and find the driver there + there free. if you cant find it on the site there is a trial toolkit u can download of the site that searches thruuh all your hardware and tell you what drivers you need and directs you to the correct part of the site however with it being a good make i don't think you'll have a problem.
