cd-r burner driver problem

I have smart and friendly 4012 cd-r installed in my computer with 98se for the Os that I took out of another computer.I reformatted last year sometime and lost the driver for it.I had some kind of sony cd-r driver installed that was compatible for it.I have tryed searching everywhere for this driver,even the driver forums and all I find is files that are corrupt or something that doesnt work.If anyone can find this driver for this unit please let me know. aaron

Driverguide doesnt have the right driver.I did say that I checked out the driverguide forums :(

Windows XP has its own generic drivers for devices like optical drives but since you may not want to buy it then its probably easier to get cheap CD-RW drive. Thats if you can't find any drivers.
