An individual has started a class action against Microsoft alleging that the recently launched console contains a power supply and CPU that run too hot and overheat. The action, filed earlier this month in an Illinois court by Robert Byers, alleges that defect causes machines to freeze or lock up. That meant Microsoft has relesed a machine with a material defect, the filing alleges, and has failed to recall the machines to fix the problem. The filing said: "Though faced with mounting consumer complaints concerning the Xbox 360, Microsoft has failed and refused to recall the defectively designed Xbox 360 Game Consoles in order to remedy this Design Defect. Instead, a Microsoft spokesperson released a statement wherein Microsoft claimed, 'We have received some isolated reports and calls of consoles not operating as expected." Article - The Inquirer
