Not really anything worth knowing in this post :D Just thought I'd let you know that I was gutted to find that all 26 PC's in my new computing class are faster than my computer!!

    All have Core 2 Duo 8800's in @ 3.0GHz 6mb L2 Cache! Blisteringly fast!

And, they all have 22" Widescreen LCD Monitors.

    Gutted.

Was same with me. They upgrade them every 3 years so they're always high performance machines. Ours should be upgraded this year as well, even though I'm not there to see it.

Quite overkill for a bit of VB/Delphi/whatever though isn't it?

Just a bit... although they have Visual Studio 2008 which should run fast if I get to code in C#. I think the main programming language that they teach is Pascal :(

I did Pascal at college, well over 6/7 years ago now. I guess its to get you started with programming. (I at the time knew nothing about programming).
