Compatible Memory on motherboard

Hello, i have on my motherboard a ddr2 533mhz of 512mb, i would like to upgrade to 1gb, but i found on the local market this one: ddr2 666mhz of 1gb, does it posible that i can put it on my motherboard?, will it have any problem?

some motherboards don't support 667+mhz so if you're unsure i'd buy a second replica 512mb (533mhz) stick to make it dual-channel mode

fyi: if you use your current one with the faster new one your system will run at the lowest ram speed
 
Go with Dwarfer, you will benefit better with dual channel configuration than single channel because of the extra bandwidth.

The cpu can then request upto double the bandwidth from the ram for example if your ram is ddr2 800mhz pc2-6400 the memory bus runs at 800mhz and the amount of data it can handle is upto 12.8gb/s which is 6400x2. you double it because of the dual channel.
 
Thanks everybody, i tried the 666mhz, and its supported it, well i hope doesnt get bad lately.
