Computer Shuts off Randomly After 2-5 minutes

Hey all. We had some storms a week or two ago and the power flickered on/off about 5 times but my computer managed to stay on. I have it plugged into a surge protector so I thought everything would be alright. 2 nights ago my computer just randomly shuts off. Every time I boot back up, about 2-5 minutes later it'll just shut off. It'll do this whether I'm just sitting at the desktop with nothing loaded or if I'm browsing the web and listening to music.

My first guess would obviously be the power supply. I bought it on March 04, 2007 so it's not old or anything. I guess the power might have taken it out.

Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit

I've checked the power supply voltages in the BIOS and they're all within +/- 5%. Are there any other tests I can run on it? Do I need to look into testing my mobo?

+Vbat: 3.16V
 
Have you made any recent changes after the outages? e.g. driver updates etc what are the computer temps like, overheating maybe but doubtful. Does the windows event logger give any help?

No recent driver/hardware changes. I've installed Google Chrome, but I think the problems started happening before that. I'll uninstall it just to be sure, but that would be odd for an app like that to completely power off the computer.

Temps seem to be normal. I don't have them here with me at work but I will post them at lunch or after work.

Where can I access the Windows Event Logger at in Vista?

Are those idle temps? because the CPU temps do seem a bit high, mine idle around 35C. Is this a custom build, if so try giving it a quick clean in side. Does look like the power flickering on/off has triggered a fault.

That was after a shutdown. I went into the BIOS to check the voltages and temps. Yep, custom build as always for me. Been running great since I built it in March 2007.
 
Have the idle temps always been like mentioned above? Try re-seating the heatsink and check for dust build up in the case.

I think they've been around that temperature. I keep my apartment at 78º most of the time but the Texas heat can be pretty bad. It's been a while since I dusted it. I'm doing that after work today since I'm taking it over to my parents to try my PSU on another computer. I'll post up the results afterward.
 
Alright, so I took my power supply and put it in another computer and it ran fine for over an hour. I wasn't able to use the other power supply in my own computer because it wasn't booting up; I'm assuming it didn't have enough juice to handle my 8800gts card. It was a 420W Enermax Noisetaker.

So this basically narrows it down to... mobo, processor, or ram. I looked for burn marks and found nothing on the mobo or ram sticks. I haven't smelled any burn components either. My gut instinct tells me mobo, but I hate chancing a new board when it's another part that's gone wrong. Bah.
