So I've been playing a lot of the Matrix Online Pre-Order. I noticed it was eating up resources and the little LED hDD activity light was almost always on. So I took a little peek and thought about my HDD temps. The top metal piece of the hdd was about the temp of my heatsink (mobo monitor says 42-44). I checked underneath it and it was pretty damn hot.

So I had like $30 and I thought what the hell. I went to Fry's and bought a cheap HDD cooler, and two more copper heatspreaders. HDD nice and cool, RAMs look better!

Please excuse bad pics, my camera is horrible under low light conditions

I just lead all the wires I wasn't using behind the HDD/optical rack and tied them down. The ram heat spreaders really come in handy, just slapped in 512mb (256x2 sticks) replacing my old 128 sticks and they really cool well. Even at 175mhz and playing Matrix Online the temps are just warm to the touch.
