CPU Fan no workin on Acer TM 4402WLMi

I have this problem for a week now,the fan comes on once every two days for like ten minutes, so it is working, but for somekind of reason it doesn't come on like it should(like they do on laptops when you turn them on), what could be the problem????
Can it be because of a software that disabled it????
is there a software that can activate the fan?????
Because if i don't find a solution i have to get it seviced and that's a pain in the .......

What temps are you getting? It may be that your PC is throttling the CPU fan to adjust for temperature changes. Try using a temperature monitoring software that you get with your mobo or a suitable one from the net.
