CPU not supported by Motherboard BIOS

Hello, I previously had installed a motherboard with all its components. I later added a different CPU but now after installing Windows 7 I saw that the rating for this CPU (Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80GHz) is just 4.4 while on the Internet I have seen that most people have it going until 5.
Its possible that this is a cheap CPU but does 4.4 justify? Most of the games run slow that rely on processing power over graphics.
Now the issue I believe is the incompatibility between my motherboard and processor. I saw their website and their isnt any way I can update the BIOS. Is there another solution for this problem or is it that just my processor is weak?
The reason why I think the processor is incompatible is from windows error notification. This is what the action center said

"Consider BIOS upgrade

Microsoft is unable to determine the exact cause of this error. However, this problem was most likely caused by an error in your computer’s random access memory (RAM). RAM is the main internal storage area the computer uses to run programs and store data.

I think that the solution to all your problems is to check things around the computer hardware ,,,,
1st of all you need to check your RAM memory with the : "MemTest" software ( Google it , and you'll find it )
2nd thing , try to check your GPU with VMT it will rape your screen card and will show you the results

after that , just put here ther results and we will be glad to help you ...

What is the exact make and model of your motherboard. We need to know it's specs in order to help you out.

That way i can tell if his motherboard can't support his CPU. I don't think a VGA test will do any good.
 
He said the games run slowly , so maybe it's just the V-card and not the CPU ...
coule be either way
most likely that the CPU is fine
 
Hey there Michael, first of all, welcome to HWF! :) Nice to see that more people are becoming active members, besides me and Scorp.

You need to read more carefully though! He said that the games that rely more on processor power run slowly, not the games that rely more on the graphicscard. :)

That's probably why a VGA test wouldn't do any good.
 
sorry for a late reply cuz i didnt get any in the middle of the week

i will post the memtest log a little later but here is the vmt test that looks disturbing to me

Edit - Okay ran a full ram test with mem test whereby i opened two instances and tested for 1.4gb ram and no errors at all
Oh and i have an Nvidia Geforce 8500 GT card which is quite old (2006) and hence the rating for desktop is 4.1 (lowest) but the gaming graphics is 5.3.

Nonono Michael. We are a few of the. :) Ofcourse, there are other members like the administrators, and regular members too. We are just the two that post the most. :P
 
Hehehe , lmao , "Post the most" liked that ... It's not so hard to do a bios update, the only thing that is related to the bios update thingie is your motherboard and not your CPU , so i can see what you searched about updating your bios, but , if you would like to update your bios you'll be needed to refer to your motherboard manual and not your CPU ( just for you to know )
