Is there actually a reliable and ligit way to make good money online. I searched around and pretty much everything is a scam from what I've turned up. Thanks to my dads unwavering skepticism of these various opportunities I don't really trust much anymore but there must be some decency still left in the online community? Anyone know of a worthwhile foolproof job I could come by? The only thing somewhat related I can think of is website design and matainance but I'd have to know my stuff before I went into that so it's not really possible for a while.
    Any thoughts are appreciated.

SAME QUESTION: I've registered with like 20 at-home customer service etc jobs. Never have heard squat back. Some required voice samples, reading their text, resumes, highspeed connection, dedicated business phone, fast typing, database experience.....all that crap got me nowhere. The ONLY thing psuedo online I have worked out was Secret Shopping and it took 6 months to get my $15 check. Working on becoming a gambler, now (NOT online poker or casinos). Hopefully, we can both find something that works out. William in California

I would not trust any 'employer' I cannot see.
If someone trying to screw you over or do you out of anything, you want an actual person so you can wack his desk or his face and demand your salary or your money back.

Just keep applying the rules (please chant with me...):
    * There is no such thing as a free lunch.
    * If it sounds too good to be true then it is.

I would soon rather get a third job than earn a living over the WWW.

But hey, that's sad ol' me.....

    Amen.

Although there is some belief that the universe is the ultimate free lunch, since the total energy is zero. :p

Working online would be good but I wouldn't trust someone who I didn't know (and by that I mean meet face to face and talk to).

I was checking out http://www.techdrive.net/ a while back though, ProcalX joined up so I e-mailed him to see what he thought and it's basically a waste of time.

It's really not worth bothering. Like you said, most of them are scams. Selling ad space is just about the only thing that will make money.

Thanks man, yup looks like I'll just have to do it the old fashioned way, at least to get any real money.

Actually that's not a half bad idea dude, doubt you'd hit the million mark but it would be a decent little income imo.

Most of those "work online!!!!!1" deals are simply pyramid schemes. In other words, you pay $500 to join, and then all you basically do is try and get other people to join (pay you $500).

The one that keeps popping up is "Quickstar" crazy ass pyramid schemes. Most of them involve diet pills now a days. If they approach you via email, block them and don't turn back. Its not worth it.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks bud. Yeah I've become a lot more skeptical of these things now, there's just so much of it it's easier to assume it's all garbage, which is pretty much true.

If you have to advertise for a work at home job in this day and age, you know there's a catch.

My wife works from home and makes a full time living. She's been doing it for years. of course she has several pt jobs but no commute time. she says there are a share of scams out there but if your on a work from home forum you start to learn what jobs are legit and what aren't. She has one where she judges pictures, pages, videos on the internet. And she has another bank job where she has to deal with people inbound calling the bank. Good stuff. I like it better than her getting the daughter off to school or a day care going to work, picking up the little girl in the evening.
She's happy, she spends almost all day with our daughter. I have nothing I can say bad about it. Except a couple of years ago this one company didn't want to pay it's taxes.
