Di624M Firmware Problems

I went to upgrade my di624m's firmware a while ago and it would not work after that. i contacted dlink to no help since i lost my receipt. i tried a crash recovery meathod i read on the forums and it did not help. i tried multiple times with different versions of the firmware and none of them work. it loads for a around a minute and then page cannot be displayed.
Do i have a brick on my hands or a MIMO paper-weight!

ignoring the firmware flashes, are you 100% sure you have networking setup correctly ?

back to the firmware: an incorrect firmware flashs turn whetever into a pretty paper weight (unless things have changed)
 
yea i am almost positive i have everything set up correctly. as for the firmware when i flashed it is was the official firmware from dlink for the exact same model/ hw version. i replaced it with a wap54g but i was just woundering if there is any way to fix it.
 
When you flashed it, were you using a LAN connection and did you manually set your IP Address?
 
i was using a manually configured address because the dhcp functionality of the router does not work anymore. i was hardwired into it also.
