Divx is pink when playing games

hello (again jeesh!)

if you're a greedy pig and feel the need to play a game AND watch a divx movie at the same time (from same pc) then you'll notice that the divx movie comes pink and the only way to stop it is to quit the game

does any1 kno why its doin it coz its annoying

yeah had the same thing happen to me. Messed around with a lot of stuff, but it turns out i just needed to re-install the graphics driver. But yeah that should work, if it doesn't just get back and we'll go from there

ive reinstalled the driver and its not made any difference, do you think a safe-mode uninstall of the driver will be better

if so what is the best way to uninstall and re-install. maybe im doing it wrong

yeah, graphics drivers are tricky. Well first off, do you have the latest driver from Nvidia's website, and yeah i think it took like a couple tries to get it installed properly. A safe mode uninstall might not be a bad idea, because it is possible that there are multiple driver installed. And even though it is a small possibility, it could be that you don't have the right video codex's installed. So maybe try re-installing windows media player Divx player, as they may have been installed improperly.
 
ive done what you said i found a November 11th driver on nvidia webby and installed that. well the pinkness has dissapeared but instead of it flashing pink (which is wot it did) the movie's brightness changes to very high levels and in some parts of hl2 (where ever im looking) it flashes from normal brightness to high brightness, but as i say, it only flashes when i look at particular places in HL2 - still unwatchable as it the brightness levels are too high

anyway back to the problem, i'm sure ive seen this problem before, but just can't remember the solution

im damm addicted to it, ive seen all of TNG, since buying the full TNG series 1 - 7 about a month ago ive done nothing but watch it this wkend alone ive watched the full series 1 (just finished as a matter of fact) and just got out of me baff listening to it wiv me headphones :rolleyes:

omg ive just realised.... IM SAD!!

lol, yeah, it still seems like the drivers didn't install right, man, graphics drivers are a pain, no joke, i would keep messing with em

ok thanks ill try again in safemode remove everything via control panel > add /remove progs and then re-install in windows using the cd

i can't afford to buy it, but i got Friends (all 10 series's on DVD last christmas

anyways, i think you need to update your codecs, i don't think reinstalling grfx drivers will do any good, try uninstalling Divx and reinstalling Divx

ps, data's bro is called LAR, or LAW or something gay like that and err... the one in the pic i canny remember wot it woz sowwy :(

ive been looking for this particilar one.. which is the one where john luke goes on a shuttle with wesley alone together and they have sandwiches.. thats the only series ive not seen in a while
