dvd driver disappears on reboot

Hi,

My dvd drive keeps disappearing, it shows on device manager and so I reinstall the drivers, then reboot and it'll be fine. However, after the second reboot the problem reoccurs.
Anyone know why this might be?

Unfortunately I can't; I'm at uni and only have the one machine.
The problem has gotten worse, it now won't register the drive on reboot. :unsure:
Would it help if downloaded the drivers and reinstalled these? if so where can I find suitable drivers, the ones listed on the NEC website all seem to be for DOS and win 3.11

Scratch that, I believe I've solved it. I say believe, because I've done a couple of reboots and the cd drive still remains operational.

Here's the details for anyone else who has the problem:

CD-ROM access is missing and messages cite error code 31, code 32, code 19, code 39, or code 41 after you remove Easy CD Creator in Windows XP

I haven't yet reinstalled Nero to see if the problem returns though...
