Yeah, the emergency services have handled it well, they have had to think about many things, the reason they didn't start with the foam sooner was because there wasn't enough, they've had to get supplies from all over the country to make sure they had enough also they wanted to make sure it didn't contaminate the water supply and cause health problems for people, they've been doing a great job and I hope all goes well for them. This sucks so close to Christmas though. People have had to leave their homes when there's windows and doors smashed and they've got their presents inside, there's been reports of some looting and after what people have been through they don't need their Christmas taken away as well, those looters are heartless b*stards.
You get scum everywhere you go, be such a better place if we could leave our houses unlocked with no worries but we can't. Insurance premiums are going to rocket, and people in that area are going to have 30k knocked off their house value.
Yeah this sucks, I'm glad I didn't get affected to much but i really feel for those who have spent the past few days away from home not knowing what was going on, whether their houses were safe, whether their Christmas was ruined... Well the fire is out now, smoke has dissapated from this area (moving over south of England and spreading out I think) but roads have still been closed off etc. I've got no school until next year because it was damaged by the blast, which is good because I like no school but bad because I wanted to say goodbye and Merry Christmas to friends I might not see over the holidays in person.
Yeah it's nice to have a really long vacation I guess, always a silver lining, but it must be hard to be out of touch with friends
