First Console game you every played...

I think the first game I played was Super Street Fighter II or Mortal Kombat! I still play em' today

 

I remeber the dog! OMG I wanna play it now Im sure I have the game in the loft...*goes to look for emu and ROM*

 

Oh my god, the last time I played that must have been at least 10 years ago. Perhaps I'll do the same and look for a ROM and emu, but it won't be the same without that clunky old gun that came with the game. Sigh...they sure don't make them like they used to. Games like God of War and Halo 2 just can't compare to Duck Hunt, that's for sure

 

Yeah, no dogs in Halo 2, I mean come on!

 

WOW, after reading everyone elses kinda makes me feel like an old man! lol

The first game console I owned was an Atari 2600, Had killer games like Pac Man Jr. and Burger time! Ahhhh the days of timed moves.

 

Gods knows what it was for me.

Either the Atari or the Spectrum ZX. A mate had both over the road from me. The first I owned was a Mattel Aqauarius, but it was more of a PC and I only had 1 game.

Things started to get fun when the Commodore came out but it was dwarfed by the NES. Ive still got my NES.

 

It seems odd how the first games people played were on the SNES and Mega Drive!

Remember the Atari Lynx, that was one I alwys wanted but never got There was a Sega handheld too but it wasnt as good as the Atari.

 

I had my nintendo with Mario Bros and Duck hunt in one package. The NES system came with the grey and red gun and one controller. I played the hell out of that system. Second game cartridge i received was Double Dragon on NES. Loved those games and still do.

And about saving games, yeah that was hardcore. I remember me and my bro beat mario brothers twice in a row, each time you beat it you start the game with more difficult enemies replacing the harder ones. so instead of turtles in the first stage you be fighting the hardshell things and so forth. That was just too much so we quit after 2 times. Now with downloading roms you can just "save state" wayyy easier than the old days.

 

The first console i owned was the Atari VCS(the 2600 - got its name from the part number of the console) first games were Starmaster, Combat, pacman, space invaders, q-bert and super breakout with those unresponsive paddles,

They were the days.
