First of all heres my specs
GFX Card: Nvidia 6800 GS 512 MB
AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor
3200+
2.20Ghz
1.00 GB of RAM
Latest Nvidia graphics card drivers installed and other various drivers tried previously.
When ever i start a game up when it reaches the point of the game where there is 3D graphics displayed on screen the fps is usually good then drops way down. For example i start up Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and when it reaches the main menu the background has no actual 3D graphic models or anything and then when i load a game and the game has loaded up and there is graphics displayed the FPS on screen is around 41 - 45 then around 7-10 seconds later it drops from that to around 15-24 for over 10 minutes then goes back to normal and the sound also crackles while like this. Even sometimes the game dosent go back to its normal FPS. Yeah i can run the game fine before any one asks.
There is also another small problem that COULD be related to this. Sometimes after quiting a game then going back in say it crashes and the error report comes up and i go back in seconds later after the game had loaded the computer will freeze and the sound will loop (Nvidia loop?) It used to do this constantly but i solved it by updating my motherboard drivers and it wasnt so frequent anymore. Its as if the computers is running low in memory with opening games alot causes it to just lock up and crash. Im not really sure about what this could be? people have said things like dust? which sounds really strange... Could it be anything to do with faulty sticks of ram?
