Another world, I had that game on the SNES before. When killed by those worms you would see a cool scene where they rose up from the ground, unfolded some sort of spike and then slash you in the leg with it killing you instantly.

That game's graphics so blew me away back then. Anyone played through the 2nd part? That so called sequel to the first? I can't come up with the name though.

    It was called Flashback :-

I think its classed as abandonware now, you should be able to get hold of a copy for nothing on the net.

I don't think flashback was the sequel to Out of this World (USA title, you guys got Another world). But the sequel to flashback came out on ps1, it was called "fade to black" I had both games, stories didn't seem to match. Both games were published by Delphine Software and they bear that similar freakishly fluid 2d gameplay, thats why people think they're sequels. . I freakin loved those games, it was like an early tomb raider/prince of persia but HARD. I didn't play much of Out of this World, but Flashback was my fav game. I still have it on the Super Nintendo. I got it when i was in the 8th grade about 12 years old. LOVE IT. It wasn't the monsters that were really scary in either game, it was that everything was much faster than you and it was a bitch to turn around and start running. Man i'm gonna go relive those games now...

I didn't find FEAR scary as much as I wanted to like other games. It seemed like it was trying too hard to creep you out but the little girl just got a bit overused and felt kind of silly almost. It certainly created an uneasy atmoshere but not much more. I will admit that at the very end when she climbs in the helicopter I was a bit spooked but otherwise it didn't do it for me. But it doesn't really matter as it's got pretty much the best gun fights ever so I don't care if it wasn't that scary.
