GPU debacle

Hey everyone. I'm new here and was hoping some more knowledgeable folks could offer up some advice on what is rabidly becoming a source of irritation.

I'm going to be upgrading my GPU in the next week, and have spent quite a lot of time going over options for what to purchase, etc. I'm switching from Nvidia to ATI due to the lack of secondary display fullscreen, which in my household is a dealbreaker. I was spying the HD4890 1GB, but ran into a problem.

I run a Vivo TV out to my old CRT widescreen TV. Unfortunately as far as I can tell the HD4890 has no TV Out. A friend suggested a TV card in addition to the GPU, but not only does that cost me more, I also have no idea how that would compare to running straight from the card.

My other option is to scale back, card-wise. There are HD4870 512MB that have TV outs.

I also wondered if it would be possible to simply keep my old Nvidia card and somehow use it simply as a TV Out while my other GPU handles the video, but that seems somehow far-fetched.

Anyway, this might be a bit muddled, apologies for that.

Thanks in advance!
