Help My Speakers Aren't Working

I have recently upgraded to XP and my speakers haven't worked! They are plugged in but i have no software to install them back in with! And i don't know how to install them either!
Please reply A.S.A.P

How Do i do that? I honestly don't know anything! You will have to talk me through everything if possible!
 
First of all , go into the control panel on your computer and open up your Audio devices folder (one with little speaker) ! The device name should now be at the top of that window (eg Intel intergrated , c-media , SBlive ) ! Now you know the make of card go to the manufacturers web site and download them from there drivers page !

Get back if that doesnt help !
