How do I do it

I wanted to check on my GPU temps but i cant find any application that does it. Could you tell me an applicaton that i can download that lets me view the temps.

As far as I know you need to have a GPU that supports it, post your specs.

under your ati menu there should be a temperature monitor if theres not post again

Penguin my specs are over at the side undre my comp, and zrock i cant find it anywhere under my ati menu or in catalyst control. I have catalyst control center 5.7.

wow, nice specs, have you got any temperature probes or anything, what i did is stuck a temperature sensor onto the GPU fansink.

I know this was with the Radeon 9600XT and 9800XT's, but it might be worth a shot.

Look and see if there's an Overdrive setting (enabling overdrive allows the system to marginally OC the card as needed). There's a temp monitor on it.

You *might* be able to get Motherboard Monitor to do it, but that's been stopped, so you may have to search for mods and how-to guides.

I put the case (aspire x-plorer) probe on the GPU heatsink and its reading about 101-104 idle, havent tried it during gaming yet. But does that sound accurate.

sorry its 103*F (about 40*C) but does that temp sound accurate.

That sounds perfect, but also remember that heatsink temps are about 3~4 degrees lower than the actual GPU core itself!
